A case was filed against Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza and Mandhira Bedi for disrespecting our Indian nation's Tricolor flag. Mr. Stalin of Madurai Melur filed this case against these celebs in Madurai sessions court.
According to Stalin, "Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his birthday in Capetown by cutting a Cake which had tricolor flag printed on it, Mandhira Bedi wore a Saree containing Tricolor during one of her TV campaignings and Sani Mirza wore slippers in Tri Colour during a function. All these events were telecasted in Media all over India. When i filed a complaint against Sachin, Mandhira and Sania to the Commissioner of Madurai, he refused to log the complaint. So, i have filed a case against these celebrities and have requested the court to take necessary actions on them for disrespecting our National Flag."
Interesting right? Personally i feel that these people not just celebrities, they are considered as national icons in their respective professions. So they should not involve in any practise that hurts the patriotism of an ordinary human being. Wearing a tricolor Saree is one of the patriotic expressions that is in practise for many years from the initial days of our freedom struggle. But, wearing tricolor sandals and cutting a cake with tricolor flag on it is something which will easily hurt the patriotism of a common man. Moreover they are worshiped as role models by millions of people across India. These kind of acts will show them as bad examples to their followers.
These are my personal opinions and not intented to hurt any one's feelings.
